Hello, I’m Alp. I am 22 years old and I am currently taking part in a volunteer project in Poland. Before giving some information about my project, let me introduce myself very briefly;
The period when I started university coincided with a pandemic, and during this pandemic process, my computer and I were alone as I was locked up at home like everyone else. During this process, I developed myself in graphic design, video/editing and editing, and eventually this hobby became both my source of income and my passion.
I discovered ESC while I was thinking about how to go abroad somehow. I was starting every day with questions such as “Have new projects arrived?”, “Which countries did they come to?” Finally I found a project that was exactly about my own passion and hobby.
I am currently working as a graphic designer and photographer at the Centrum Współpracy Młodzieży office in the project I am working on. The first day I saw this project, I was really excited because they were looking for a volunteer for my own business. I feel really lucky to work with this office, there are a lot of equipment opportunities where I can improve myself and learn new things and I have the right to access all of them.
My duties throughout the project are: Preparing info packs and guides of new projects, producing content for social media, taking photos to be shared on social media by participating in organized activities (youth exchange, office breakfast event, etc.) and producing anything with the dozens of equipment they provide :).
I would like to thank the Youth Studies association and Centrum Youth and Mobility, for giving me a chance to experience that I will never forget.
